At AZALAS, we stay focused on what matters.  That means always looking for the next aspiring Latino administrators for our great state.  We support the efforts on continued excellence and Latino leadership in education.  It is our goal to find and mentor Latino administrators, as we have successfully done for over  20 years!

AZALAS Annual Conference Details

“Unidos: Ayer, Hoy Y Mañana”

We are happy to announce the theme and registration for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of AZALAS previously known as AHSAA. We will be gathering at the Crown Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in Chandler, AZ, from 12:00 PM registration and 1:00 PM General Session, October 28th to 2:30 PM Closing, October 29th. Registration is available online by clicking the button.

The San Marcos has a room block set aside at the rate of $119 plus tax and fees and reservations can be arranged by calling 1-877-685-5594. The deadline for room reservations at this conference rate is October 4th. Be sure to say you are part of the AZALAS Annual Conference.

The conference committee is working hard at producing a fun, engaging and educational celebration of culture and work to improve opportunities for Latino students in Arizona's public schools. AZALAS HS Scholarships 20 awarded at $1000 each

The Arizona Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (AzALAS) is providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The twenty (20) scholarships are $1000 each and available to students who will be attending a higher institution of post-secondary education during the 2018-2019 school year. Applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Be a graduating high school/charter school senior. 2. One parent must be of Hispanic heritage. 3. Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 The Arizona Hispanic School Administrators Association Scholarship Committee directs all decisions regarding scholarship awards. Applicants are evaluated on quantitative and qualitative criteria, including academic achievement, extracurricular activities and student essays. Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Committee and are contingent upon high school graduation, as well as, acceptance to a higher institution of post-secondary education. NOTE: Incomplete application packages will not be accepted. The scholarship enrollment will be announced in early 2019.
