Bioscience program at Sunnyside High School prepares students for future careers (+ Video)

When students put on their lab coats and take part in the bioscience program at Tucson’s Sunnyside High School, they learn what they need to succeed in the workplace and college by doing lab work with partners like Native Seeds/SEARCH, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Arizona Game and Fish and the BIO5 Institute at the University of Arizona.  Read more and view video

Full STEAM ahead; Arizona Science Center takes over school

Superheroes, robots and even eyeball dissection. Bridges Elementary School students, grades K-6, explored the wonders of Science during an on-campus field trip hosted by the Arizona Science Center. This program brings the field trip to the students and works with the school to customize engaging activities during the school day, helping free time for teachers to meet for professional development. Read more

Arizona Educational Foundation announces the state’s Top 10 Teachers

The Arizona Educational Foundation announced the five Ambassadors for Excellence and five Semifinalists of the Arizona Teacher of the Year program. One of the five ambassadors will receive the coveted title of 2019 AEF Arizona Teacher of the Year at the annual awards luncheon on Thursday, October 25 at the Arizona Biltmore and be in the running for the National Teacher of the Year title. Read more
