This year’s conference will build school district, site, and classroom leaders’ capacity, focusing on systems change, district wide SEL implementation and Essential Practices, understanding behavior and creating a connected and resilient classroom. Enjoy free yoga and wellness rooms during breaks while connecting with colleagues.

Arizona Science Teachers Association (ASTA) improves science teaching and learning through high-quality professional learning.
ASTA Ambassadors are available to provide professional learning regarding the AZ
Science Standards, including the pedagogical shifts needed to implement the standards. The professional learning can be in-person or virtually during your professional learning days, afterschool, and on Saturdays. Contact ambassador@azsta.org for information on having an ambassador work with your teachers directly.

1) ASTA Virtual Spring into Science Conference
- March 26th, 8:30-Noon; Cost: $15 ASTA Members/$25 Non ASTA Members
2) Virtual Workshops and Webinars offered monthly – check out event calendar
3) ASTA Summer Virtual Academy - 24 Days of Professional Learning
- Professional learning opportunities happening the whole month of June and through July! All the webinars and virtual workshops are focused on helping you teach the AZ Science Standards and STEM. Pick and choose your PD!
- Registration opens in April
- Cost: Varies from FREE - $35 dependent on the session.
4) Empower K-5 Students through Literacy in Science & STEM
- June 27-28th in Tempe; Cost: $25
5) ASTA Annual Science Teaching Symposium: Cause & Effect
- July 12-14, Virtual; Cost: 100 ASTA Members/$140 Non ASTA Members
- Scholarships available.
6) K-5 Deeper Dive: Constructing 3-Dimensional Science Units
- Application still open through end of March; June 6-10th in Mesa; Cost: $250/team
- Teams of 3 teachers apply to work collaboratively to unpack the standards, write evidence of learning statements, and create a unit. Stipends provided.
