Moving In The Right Direction/Per Pupil Revenue

Today the U.S. Census Bureau released their 2020 Annual Survey of School System Finances. This is the latest report available. Table 11 of this report "States Ranked According to Per Pupil Elementary-Secondary System Finance Amounts:Fiscal Year 2020" shows revenue per pupil for each state.  The U.S. average is $16,062 per pupil. Idaho is 50th at $9,802, Utah is 49th at $10,027, Mississippi is 48th at $10,774, and Arizona and North Carolina are tied at 47th with both states at $10,790 per pupil. Last year, Arizona was in 48th place. Last year, Arizona's revenue was at 65.9% of the U.S. average. We are now at 67.2% of the U.S. average. It takes a lot of effort to move but we are moving in the right direction. Hopefully, with Arizona's positive revenue outlook, our state leaders can continue Arizona's per pupil revenue moving in the right direction.
