About the Presenters: Scarlett Lewis founded the non-profit Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement after her son was murdered during the Sandy Hook Elementary School Tragedy in December 2012. After his death, Scarlett became part of the solution to the issues we are seeing in our society and became an advocate for Social and Emotional Learning to teach children how to manage their emotions, feel connected, and have healthy relationships.     As former Program Manager for the City of Toledo’s Mayor’s Initiative to Reduce Gun Violence, JoJuan Armour developed community partnerships and implemented a mindsets-based social emotional learning program in the city, resulting in significant improvements in neighborhoods struggling with gun violence.
