We’ve all seen the news: NAEP reading scores have dropped for the first time in decades for students just entering the critically important reading-to-learn phase – typically, 3rd grade.

Reading fluency is crucial for students to develop in these early years for future academic success. It’s a skill students access daily, in all subject areas and on high-stakes exams.

Learn more about the critical elements of teaching silent reading fluency in this blog, “Most tested, least taught: What is silent reading fluency and how can educators help master this crucial skill?”
