TEALS Program
Building equitable, inclusive computer science programs in high schools
Hello Panfilo,
My name is Reggie Carrillo. I’m the Arizona State Regional Manager for the Microsoft Philanthropies Technology Education and Learning Support (TEALS) program. Our mission is to build equitable access to computer science (CS) education and create a pathway to economic opportunity for our students here in Arizona.
Our state is continuing to be attractive to the tech industry. This means more job opportunities and financial stability for our student population. In 2021 Arizona had upwards of 14,000 jobs available in tech paying on average 87,000 however we only graduated 1,226 students in computer science. As a past educator, and current governing board member I know all too well the need to supply our students with the skills needed for these in demand tech job opportunities. Get your district students future-ready today by partnering with the Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS no cost program. We are excited to announce that our 23-24 School year application is now open. The application is free to fill out and serves as a statement of interest for the TEALS team. We start early so that we’re able to launch a successful program when the 23-24 school year is ready to start.
Learn more about the program by registering for a school info session where you will hear about how the TEALS program works, the curricula provided, and how educators team teach alongside tech industry volunteers. You can also learn more by viewing and sharing this TEALS 23-24 school year brochure with any relevant school district or site administrators and teachers.

We look forward to connecting with you and learning more about CS STEM programs at your school. I also welcome any questions that you may have about our program by booking a meeting with me at a time convenient for you.
Best,
Regional
