Greetings,
The Arizona Alliance of Black School Educators (AzABSE) invites you to attend the 9th Annual Teacher Leadership Summit (TLS23) on June 21 - 22, 2023 at Pilgrim Rest Education Enrichment Center in Phoenix, AZ. This year’s theme is Engaging All Levels: Black Education Excellence through Equitable Ecosystems. The TLS23 professional development workshops and presentations will advance education equity and re-energize the love of teaching and learning. This year’s presenters will provide teachers, educators, school/district leaders, school board members, parents, and the community with best practices to support children/students during these continuous and challenging times. The presentations will inspire educators as they prepare to welcome students back for the new school year. You will find culturally relevant topics such as:
- Social Justice, anti-racism, and culturally responsive practices
- Promoting safety, health, and wellness
- Cultivating diverse passions, gifts, and talents
Click here for more information about the speakers and sessions. Additionally, there will be solution based discussions centered around educator retention and support.
This is an excellent opportunity for school and district equity plans, we encourage decision makers to include this Summit in their funding allocation plans by sponsoring teachers, equity teams, and school leaders to attend this Summit. Teachers will receive up to 16 continuing education units for recertification, click here for registration information. If you have any questions or need further information, please email me at zfowler@azabse.org.
The Summit is more than a conference, it's a ceremonious experience of learning, networking, and growth. We look forward to seeing you!
