You are invited to join our first Rural Action Summit in 2023 hosted by Save Our Schools Arizona and Indivisible. It’s time to get fired up for big wins locally and statewide in 2024! This is the time for us to come together and learn about what is important in our rural communities, including school board, city council or legislative opportunities that will bring meaningful, positive change for you and your neighbors.
You will spend time getting to know like-minded people from your area and have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge of what it means to be engaged in your community. This is a building year and we have brought together several organizations that will provide mini-workshops focused on:
- Community engagement (neighbor to neighbor = local teams and outreach)
- Organizing 101 (story of self, opportunity exploration and self care)
- Messaging/social media (effective dialogue and social media basics)
- Direct community contact (phone/text banking and door to door outreach)
Our overall goal is to connect you to organizations that align with your values and be inspired to work together as we move Arizona forward! We will provide a welcoming, safe space for you to explore local activism and discover how you see yourself joining our efforts.
If you've been wondering how, when, or with whom to become active in our state, look no further!
We will have amazing speakers throughout the day, free lunch provided, and all participants will get a free tote bag full of fun and useful goodies.
This event has been sponsored by partner organizations so attendance is FREE but you must sign up in advance.
